Built in the early 1900's, Chester Stable was built to service a large sheep station, in the back blocks of Hunterville. It consisted of horse stables, tack room, feed room, tool shed, toilet, hay room and an upstairs seed store. Built from matai and rimu, milled on the farm, it stood proudly out on the hillside. It was an impressive stable in its day, but got into disrepair in the later years. Local farmers suggested it be burnt for a quick clear job, but the farm manager saw better recycling potential In 10 days, Ramze Demolition dismantled, trimmed, de-nailed and graded the heart timber ready to be rebuilt in to recycled furniture. The site was left clear for the owners, ready for the new shed to be built.
