Built in the 50's, this house was made from the best heart rimu and matai, and built to last. Alot of the house's built at this time were made from heart timber, as with all state houses. 6 inch matai flooring, rimu shiplap weatherboards, rimu framing, rimu and cedar windows and doors, this house was a minta. Added on in the 70's was a new modern area with pine framing, matai weatherboards and alluminium joinery. Unfortuniatly she was built down a long narrow driveway, so there was no way for it to be moved out by house movers. The new owners loved the area and needed a more suitable house for their family. So RAMZE DEMOLITION has the task to dismantle this solid house and recyle as much as we could. Some flooring from the old girl now graces the entrance to the new house on the same site. Being a narrow driveway, everything was moved from the site on my tandom trailer!! With help from my family we took the house down and i only found a dozens pieces of timber with bora!!
